Perazzi wood, parts and complete guns · private collection
Mostly Perazzi: buttstocks, forends and trigger groups, plus two complete guns and a Beretta stock set. Every lot was gone through photograph by photograph. The numbers stamped on each piece, the wood, and every flaw found are written in the listing. Figures shown are asking prices for a private sale, and sensible offers are welcome. Receiver and forend iron carry the same number; only the barrels differ, which on a Perazzi usually means a second barrel set was bought and fitted. Said here rather than left for the buyer to find. Condition, plainly. The pad is torn at the toe and needs replacing. There is a chip of bare wood at the bottom tip of the pistol grip. A strip of shim tape sits inside the forend channel at the tip. There is a small bluing rub on the top barrel at the monobloc, and some rust colour in the lump and ejector recesses that has not been cleaned yet. All of it is in the photographs. The trigger group has not been pulled, so springs and selector are not stated.

Receiver and forend iron carry the same number; the barrels are a 2008 set on a 2004 action. The gold on the trigger blade is worn through on the front face. There is active rust with light pitting in the monobloc recess and some oxidation on the lumps, a few pitting spots on the water table, light scuffs on the bluing, a scratch and a small chip near the toe of the pad, and what may be a hairline check on the right stock head panel. All of it is photographed. The opening photograph is a panorama and crops the muzzle slightly; a full profile is being reshot.
OLD style, identified by the owner with both groups in hand and compared side by side. The blade sits FURTHER FORWARD than on the new pattern, which lengthens the reach to the trigger slightly. Perazzi old and new groups differ mainly at the lower hammer, taller on the old pattern and cut at a different angle where it meets the firing pin, and the trade is consistent that an old-style hammer wants old-style firing pins: pairing a new sleeved pin with an old hammer is reported to break pins quickly. Check what your gun has before fitting.
Springs
Leaf (flat) springs, confirmed from the photographs
Selector
None. Fixed single blade.
Stamped
"U/R" under the front tongue and "5" on its end face. No serial.
Finish
Blued plate worn to a plum patina with scratches. Blued trigger blade, checkered, worn bright at the edges. Hammers and springs in the white.
Condition
Complete, all pins present, springs intact. Small nick at the bottom of the guard bow.
Includes
Tan leather pouch with brass press stud, unbranded, scuffed
NEW style, identified by the owner with both groups in hand and compared side by side. The blade sits FURTHER TO THE REAR than on the old pattern, which shortens the reach to the trigger slightly. The new pattern uses the shorter lower hammer with a flush face, matched to the later sleeved firing pins. The trade is consistent that old and new hammers and pins should not be mixed. Check what your gun has before fitting.
Springs
Leaf (flat) springs, confirmed from the photographs
Selector
None. Fixed single blade.
Stamped
"13" on the front nose of the plate
Finish
Blued plate and guard, worn through to grey at the front and bow edges. Blued blade with a bright finger-wear stripe.
Condition
Complete, both springs intact, all pins present. The two hammers do not match: one shows temper colours, the other is uniformly bright with fresh milling, so one has probably been replaced. Light surface rust on the top faces of the springs. Small ding inside the rear of the guard bow.
Monte Carlo Trap Buttstock, Aftermarket, Perazzi Drop-Out Pattern
aftermarket, not factory · Perazzi drop-out head · exhibition walnut · hook grip
Dimensions not measured yet. Ask and I will take them.
Type
Buttstock, cut to the Perazzi through-bolt pattern.
Origin
AFTERMARKET, not Perazzi factory wood. The owner confirms it. It is built to fit a Perazzi and it has been fitted to one, but it did not come out of the Perazzi factory, which is why it carries no number anywhere. Said plainly up front rather than left for you to work out, because the difference matters to what it is worth and to what you are buying.
Fits
Drop-out (detachable) trigger head, confirmed by the owner in hand. Fits the drop-out Perazzi frames, MX8, Mirage, MX2000, MX3 and the like, and NOT the fixed MX12, MX20 or MX2000S.
Style
Monte Carlo trap comb: high and nearly level, with a hard step down to the heel. Deep butt. Close-radius pistol grip ending in a large flat oval face of solid wood, cut at an angle to form a slight hook. No cap, no thumbhole, no adjustable comb, no palm swell.
Stamped number
None found anywhere, which is consistent with it being aftermarket: Perazzi factory stocks carry either the serial of the gun they were built for or a reference number.
Wood
Exhibition grade: bold black mineral streak and marbling on an orange-brown ground, running through the grip and onto the oval face. A few pin knots, filled and finished.
Finish
High-build mirror gloss. Fine, crisp, unworn checkering, one bordered panel per side.
Pad
Kick-EEZ, thin, ground flush
Head
Drawbolt in place. The inletting carries a chalky white residue from a previous bedding, so it has been fitted to a gun before.
Condition
Excellent. One tiny finish mark on the belly behind the grip, light scuffs on the pad.
The grip shape is not a Perazzi catalogue pattern; this reads as a custom-made or custom-reshaped stock. An earlier version of this listing said the head needed final fitting. It does not. It has been fitted before and will need cleaning and fitting to your action like any used stock.

Stamped number
A "7" followed by digits that did not strike cleanly, because the stamp landed across a machined step. Being read by eye.
Style
Pistol grip, fixed comb with a distinctly raised nose and a flute behind it on both sides. Raised drop-point panels at the head. No cap.
Wood
Highly figured: honey ground with heavy black mineral streak in bold diagonal bands, curl at the heel
Finish
Gloss. Fine point checkering wrapping the grip and wrist, crisp.
Pad
Thin plain black rubber, ground flush, make not visible
Condition
Near unused apart from one gouge of about 1 cm through the finish just below the comb crest, with a lifted chip at its end. Inletting heavily oil-darkened.
Perazzi game style · exhibition fiddleback · no iron
Dimensions not measured yet. Ask and I will take them.
Type
Forend, Perazzi GAME STYLE, identified by the owner with the piece in hand. Slimmer and rounder than a beavertail, which is a different and much wider pattern. Wood only, no iron or latch.
Stamped number
Reads 127009. The stamp is double struck where the 7 and a 0 overlap, and a faint first character ahead of the 1 could not be resolved. Being read by eye.
Wood
Exhibition grade: dense fiddleback the full length on both sides, heavy black mineral streak, feather at the tip, deep reddish brown
Finish
Gloss. Fine checkering in two long panels with scribed borders, crisp.
Condition
Excellent, unused or lightly used. Finish pooled inside the channel near the tip. No cracks.
Dimensions not measured yet. Ask and I will take them.
Type
Forend, slim rounded profile with a raised top rail and a full-length finger groove each side. Wood only, no iron.
Stamped number
114086, in the channel floor, all digits clear
Wood
Some figure: dark mineral streaks and a marbled band. Two small knots low on the belly toward the receiver end.
Finish
High gloss. No checkering.
Condition
Used. Fine scratches in the finish on the belly, finish chipped at the rear face edges and rail tops, nick at the front rail, heavy oil darkening in the channel. No cracks or repairs.
Buttstock and its matching forend, sold together as a set. New and never used.
Trigger type
DROP-OUT (detachable trigger group). Confirmed by trial fit, not read off the shape: it seats clean on an MX8 and a Mirage and will NOT go onto a fixed MX2000 S.
Fits
The drop-out Perazzi frames: MX8, Mirage, MX2000, MX3, MX10 and the drop-out High Tech guns. It does NOT fit the fixed-trigger MX12, MX20, MX2000S or High Tech S.
Stamped number
29528, struck into the head. Read in hand. No gauge mark and no other number.
Gauge
12 gauge, taken from the fit: it seats on 12-gauge frames.
Comb
Factory adjustable comb, both locking screws present. The comb lifts off on its posts.
Wood
Exhibition-grade walnut, heavy dark marbling and streaking, buttstock and forend cut from matching wood.
Buttstock alone 1 kg 50 g, about 2 lb 5 oz, on the scale.
Condition
New and unused. No blemishes, no dents, no scratches, no repairs. It was trial fitted by hand and carries no mark from it.
Length of pull, 14 1/2 in, was measured on an MX8 with the trigger in place. Drop at comb, drop at heel and cast are not yet taken: they are read off the barrel rib line and the gun was apart when this was written. Ask and they will be measured. One honest fitting note, the same one that applies to any Perazzi stock: head geometry drifts a little by model and era even inside the drop-out family, so on a given gun the wood can sit slightly proud or low and want final hand fitting. Bought as a fitting set for a competent stocker, it goes on any drop-out Perazzi frame.
